Witch School Needs Your Help

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Since opening its doors on July 1st to the public, Witch School have had a steady stream of visitors. Everyone is glad they are open and yet, they need help to build a first rate school. With a little hope and a lot of bricks, Witch School hopes to create a little fund raising magick and transform the Hoopeston campus into something amazing.

Hoopeston, IL (PRWEB) July 17, 2006 -- When Witch School opened its doors on July 1st, many people in the world were surprised that real people were claiming to be Witches and that they would open a public school in the middle of the United States. The public were equally surprised to discover these Witches, who call themselves Wiccans, are indeed real people working to build a school from scratch. While Witch School has plans to make their space increasingly magickal, it is still a place that Joe Larson of the Commercial News -- Danville called ‘More messy than scary’. Witch School needs your help. In order to rebuild the school they are holding a Fundraiser. To raise the funds they are asking people to ‘adopt’ a brick of the school... they are asking for you to share their building with them.

Witch School plan to show names of those who support the school on special walls of names. They want to bless those who bless them. When it is done, every name will be able to be seen on the Internet. The school will have a special section of their site to view the ‘adopters’ names on the wall. Witch School is asking people to give one dollar or more to have their names on a brick wall of the School.

This is effort is led by Michael Ferrell, as he was sure that people everywhere would send in a dollar to help if given a good enough reason. His exact words ‘If everyone who was interested in Wicca were to give a dollar the building would be able to be fixed up pretty quickly.’ Michael, 20, still believes in the generosity of people, and is the head of the tech department. And he came up with this fundraiser as a simple way to demonstrate the idea behind the three-fold law of the Wiccan Faith. The three-fold law says that which you give you will receive in abundance, for good or for ill. His hope is that others will help Witch School build and be able to in turn he can help the community locally and globally.

As Rev. Don Lewis, Chancellor says “We want to transform this building from messy and forgotten place to magickal and fantastic destination. It is a very important act of Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. Part of the project is creating a living memorial to the rights of any group to exist in a religiously free America. It also needs money to repair and develop the building so the Wiccans everywhere have an amazing place to go, physically and in cyberspace. We can make this happen with help of our students, supporters and friends.”

So Witch School is asking for your help and asking you to be part of creating something incredible by ‘adopting’ a brick and have your name put on it. You can even put your friends name, your business name, your craft name, your name in Correllian script, and they even have a Shrine to Cats, Dogs and Other familiars to add your pet to. When it is done, every name will be able to be seen on the Internet as Witch school will show the actual wall in cyberspace. By simply buying a name on the brick for as little as a dollar, you can help create a beautiful school. You will create a true place where religious freedom is practiced daily.
