Toronto, ON (PRWEB) August 3, 2006 -- Canada Cartage Diversified Income Fund (“Canada Cartage”), a leading national provider of dedicated trucking services to Canadian companies, is rolling out Headwater’s REALDiSPATCH mobile in-field fleet management solution to the Ontario distribution center operations of one of its largest retail customers, it was announced today by Canada Cartage CEO Jeff Lindsay and Headwater Senior Vice President Joe E. Couto.
The customer dispatches approximately 45 trucks to its Ontario stores daily and when the rollout is completed, the customer will be able to exercise real-time control over deliveries to its stores across the province.
REALDiSPATCH is an advanced hardware-software mobile resource management solution designed for freight carriers and service/utility fleets. It automates the in-field management of trip plans, stop assignments, load metrics, delivery progress, GPS tracking, Engine Control Module (ECM) readings, hours of service (HOS) logging, driver timesheet data, and more, enabling dispatchers to modify driver schedules, rearrange stops, and measure driver and equipment performance literally in real time. Detailed reports are available on demand or as trips are completed.

Fully integrated with Headwater’s Freight Logix transportation management system, REALDiSPATCH allows information from Freight Logix to be transmitted instantly and discreetly to drivers in the field. It can also be used in a standalone configuration.
Canada Cartage expects to continue to roll-out to its fleet of more than 1,400 power units at a rate of 200 per quarter. According to Couto, Canada Cartage was a major contributor to REALDiSPATCH development and was the first company to commit to a large-scale implementation of the system.
