Founded by principals of two of the industry’s leading-edge GIS companies, Spatial Insights, Inc. and Applied Geographic Solutions, Inc. (AGS), Applied Spatial Technology, Inc. (AST) has acquired the rights to AGS’ Freeway drive time application. Freeway is an application that is used to generate drive time polygons and perform origin-destination drive time modeling. Drive time analysis is used to derive accurate demographics around a site and to model drive time and drive distance from one location to another. Freeway has now been updated with a current roadway system, and is available through AST’s reseller network.
“Freeway has been the industry standard drive time application for over nine years. The update marks the beginning of a new era in drive time analysis applications, and should bring immediate value to customers who need fast and accurate drive time analyses,” says Don Segal, President of AST. Don adds, “Additional enhancements planned for this year include a data loading utility that will enable end users to use their own network, providing global analysis capability, and enhanced origin-destination modeling.”
