Advantech Satellite Networks Promotes Michael Pollack to Vice President of Government Sales

Advantech Satellite Networks, a division of Advantech AMT, today announced the promotion of Michael Pollack to Vice President, Government Sales. The promotion is effective immediately.

Vienna, VA (PRWEB) August 14, 2006 -- Advantech Satellite Networks, a division of Advantech AMT, today announced the promotion of Michael Pollack to Vice President, Government Sales. The promotion is effective immediately.

In his new role Mr. Pollack will lead all aspects of Advantech Satellite Networks’ Government business, reporting to Don Osborne, President of Advantech Satellite Networks. Mr. Pollack heads Advantech’s Government office in Rockville, MD.

We anticipate that Michael will continue to expand our Governmental client base and our partnerships with key integrators.

Mr. Pollack joined the company in October, 2005 as Director of Federal Sales, and has focused his efforts on the Government’s SatCom Market. Mr. Pollack stated “DVB-RCS VSAT solutions, an open source technology, are the future for communications on DoD satellites and we believe that our technology provides the greatest benefits to end users.”

Advantech Satellite Network’s products today are supporting USCENTCOM initiatives in Southwest Asia by equipping ground operators of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with real-time video and data capabilities. Moreover, the company’s products have been successfully deployed to provide instant communications infrastructure to first responders and emergency response teams in the wake of the 2005 hurricane season.
