Ink Well Jazz Comedy Cafe Stakes Claim to Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) August 14, 2006 -- The much awaited Jazz Comedy Café has finally landed in its permanent home with the opening of “INK WELL” on August 12th at 408 Rogers Ave. The new restaurant, designed by architect Jeffrey Charles Pierre, celebrates its location with a Jazz & Comedy theme.

The “INK WELL” had a successful grand opening. The new restaurant, designed by architect Jeffrey Charles Pierre, debuted its Jazz & Comedy theme, warm and relaxed ambiance, and offered a unique dining experience to a full house.

As people enter the restaurant, they’ll see an 18-foot long granite counter bar with a 40’ LCD HD Flat Panel TV mounted to a brick finished wall. The cherry wood ceiling fan blades are supported by unfinished steel brackets and pumpkin colored walls are punctuated by cherry wood floors. The natural materials -- wood, granite, stone and steel -- pay tribute to the INK WELL theme through their various colors. The dining area will be created with asymmetrical, undulating vaults constructed to reflect a cool atmosphere to dine. The subtle Jazz & Comedy theme, honesty of the design and the organic qualities of the materials were chosen carefully by the owners in an effort to reflect the INK WELL.

The menu will support the art of Soul Food cooking, among many other exciting meals, the INK WELL menu will include: Collard Greens, Macaroni & Cheese, Yams, Fried Catfish, and Ribs to name a few.

The dining room will seat 48 and once the restaurant has opened, plans will be underway to develop a separate counter for a to-go area featuring creative cooking kits, a welcome change for weary commuters now able to quickly purchase Soul Food dinner on the Ave.

The INK WELL can be described as a melting pot for all ethnic backgrounds even though it’s the name of a beach on Martha’s Vineyard where it served as a vacation spot for upscale blacks. This area was named by African American people who owned vacation homes on the beach.

INK WELL at 408 Rogers Ave, serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and dinner 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. seven days a week. All major credit cards are accepted. For reservations, please call 1-888-8INKWELL. For more information please feel free to email or call 718-675-6145.

The "INK WELL" invites you to join them every night.
