What would you do to help others if you had one million dollars? Your answer to that question could determine whether you are America’s newest millionaire from yourmilliondollaressay.com.

Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) August 14, 2006 -- What would you do to help others if you had one million dollars? Your answer to that question could determine whether you are America’s newest millionaire from yourmilliondollaressay.com.

It’s the brainchild of Birmingham, Alabama businesswoman Etta Allen, who according to spokesperson and son Chad Allen, is on a mission to help grow millionaires who in turn use their new found wealth to spearhead their own philanthropic efforts.

The countdown to the first millionaire winner began on August 1st, 2006. Applicants are required to complete a two hundred word or less essay on the topic; “What would you do to help others if you had one million dollars?” Essayers must submit entries via the yourmilliondollaressay.com website along with a ten dollar registration fee. Each essay will be reviewed by the yourmilliondollaressay.com panel and a new winner will be chosen in one hundred days. The contest winner will win one million dollars less a percentage held by yourmilliondollaressay.com to be donated to the charity of the winning essayer’s choice. This ensures that the integrity of the contest is not compromised.

“On the heels of the mammoth giving efforts of Bill Gates and Warren Buffets my hope is that we encourage the average person to think about how they can begin to help those in need” said Chad. “This should further dispel the notion that America has become a 'me first' society. “We believe a contest such as this serves two fold,” said Mr. Allen. “On one hand the end result will provide the essay winner the funds to give as his/her essay dictates while on the other hand benefiting the winning essayer with a cash prize,” Allen added.

Though one millionaire every one hundred days seems like a lofty goal, the Allen’s believe that it is attainable and anticipate a plethora of entries. Yourmilliondollaressay.com contest is open to applicants 18 years and older.
