Verbalplanet.com celebrates the worldwide launch of its global online language tuition marketplace and the beginning of a new era in personal language tuition services.

United Kingdom (PRWEB) August 16, 2006 -- Verbalplanet.com is a global marketplace for online language tuition services, enabling language tutors to sell their services online and interact with language learners across the globe.

Verbalplanet.com founder, Andrew Moore, established the company to provide language learners with a more interactive learning experience, and to provide a sales channel for language tutors to reach out to clients around the world and sell their services online.

Language tutors recognise that in the future the internet, and in particular internet telephony, will have an increasingly important role to play in the way people learn a new language, and that by joining Verbalplanet.com they can take part in that change.
Based upon figures to date the company is hitting the right note with language professionals; with almost 400 tutors from around the world registering to use the service within the first 4 weeks.

“The reaction to Verbalplanet.com from language tutors everywhere has been extremely positive and well ahead of our initial expectations,” commented Andrew Moore, founder of Verbalplanet.com.

“Language tutors recognise that in the future the internet, and in particular internet telephony, will have an increasingly important role to play in the way people learn a new language, and that by joining Verbalplanet.com they can take part in that change.”

Once registered on Verbalplanet.com, a language learner can browse their online tuition marketplace and evaluate tutors from around the world on the basis of price, rating, location, native language and more. The user then selects their favourite tutor, develops a learning plan and proceeds to book and schedule one to one lessons which which are carried out over an internet telephony connection.

“Learning a new language should be a truly interactive experience but unfortunately too many people are learning in isolation with little opportunity to fully develop or practice their language skills.” commented Andrew Moore.

“Verbalplanet.com changes all of that and gives people the opportunity to experience what we believe learning a new language is all about; real conversation with real people. For example, using Verbalplanet.com it’s possible to learn French from a native speaker who actually lives in France, no matter where you are in the world.”

The growth in online commerce for goods and tangible products has been unprecedented; however similar markets have been slow to evolve for the sale of services. The company believes that Verbalplanet.com is well placed to change that, and represents a leading example of how individuals can trade and interact with one another in an online marketplace for services.

“We believe that we are only at the beginning of what will be a radical shift in the way people learn a new language. We hope that Verbalplanet.com will play a leading role in changing people’s experience of learning a new language and in developing what is sure to be an exciting new global market.”

What is clear is that the rapid adoption of broadband services around the world, the increasing use of the internet as a teaching resource and the increasing level of adoption of internet telephony, all point to a bright future for Verbalplanet.com.
