iCollegeCoach to deliver objective, expert advice through WebEx to help families afford college.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) August 17, 2006 -- Getting objective, expert, and personalized advice on how best to afford college just got easier for families seeking assistance. The iCollegeCoach program works with families one-on-one to help them choose, apply for, and afford college. Now families can relax in front of their computers and get coaching as to how best to navigate the high school to college transition.

“Partnering with industry-leader WebEx to make meetings and coaching sessions live via the web allows us to reach families anywhere there is an Internet connection,” explains Mike Griffin, an admissions expert with iCollegeCoach. “Member families can join us in group sessions and workshops regarding college admission, financial aid, and college funding, and can schedule one-on-one sessions with their iCollegeCoach counselors.”

There is a great deal of generalized information out there about how to afford college, and much of it can be down right dangerous for families who do not have the whole picture for their personal situations
“Every family has unique circumstances, goals, fears, and needs when trying to find the best way to afford college,” notes Bill McCumber, spokesman and college funding specialist. “This technology is not just a web page of information; it allows us to work with families face to face to find the smartest way to afford college without having to be, well, face to face.” While the technology is helpful in reaching families across the nation, Mr. McCumber says that it is just a tool allowing iCollegeCoach to work more efficiently with member families. “Parents can get help and advice on our schedule or theirs,” Mr. McCumber explains, “and perhaps more importantly the students are more engaged because the technology is just plain fun. Students want to be a part of the program.” Students also enjoy iCollegeCoach podcasts, instant messaging, and blogs as benefits of membership.

“There is a great deal of generalized information out there about how to afford college, and much of it can be down right dangerous for families who do not have the whole picture for their personal situations,” explains Mr. McCumber. The partnership with WebEx allows the iCollegeCoach team to cut through the clutter to find real solutions for real family college costs issues.

Families are welcome to learn more by visiting http://www.iCollegeCoach.com where they can view an overview of the program, sign up to receive more information, and register to participate in upcoming web information sessions.
