Consumers now have more options when planning Florida vacations.

Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) August 18, 2006 -- Virgin Vacations’ customers will now have more options when planning their domestic getaways. Partnering exclusively with Universal Orlando Resort, the company has expanded its array of vacation choices to include Orlando, Florida, one of the country’s most popular travel destinations.

Virgin Vacations and Universal Orlando Resort have teamed up on special deals in the past, but this is the first time the company has directly promoted Universal’s travel deals. And Universal Orlando is the only vacation destination in Florida with this exclusive arrangement.

Virgin Vacations has historically offered a variety of international vacation packages, including destinations such as Europe, Asia and South America. The ability to offer packages to a popular domestic attraction such as Universal Orlando will add a new dimension to the company.

“We’re excited to offer families a domestic option when planning their vacations,” said Jeanne De Smedt, president, Virgin Vacations. “Universal Orlando Resort is one of the premier vacation destinations in the country with a variety of value-driven deals. It’s the perfect choice for travelers.”

From theme park tickets to on-site hotel accommodations, Universal Orlando offers a wide variety of choices. To take advantage of these deals, consumers can visit Virgin Vacations’ website (www.virgin-vacations.com) and simply click on the Universal Orlando tab. They will be immediately linked to Universal’s website to book their vacations through Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations.

Universal Orlando Resort
The Universal Orlando Resort destination includes two dramatically distinct and adjacent theme parks, the Universal Studios motion picture and television theme park and Islands of Adventure, Orlando's most thrilling and exhilarating theme park. Universal Orlando also includes CityWalk, a 30-acre dining, shopping, club and live-entertainment venue as well as premier on-site Loews hotels and world-class film and television production facilities.

About Virgin Vacations:
Virgin Vacations offers a varied product line, which includes “Exclusively Virgin” vacations to the UK and Europe, featuring round-trip air on their award-winning carrier, Virgin Atlantic Airways. Their most recent partnership with Universal Parks and Resorts Vacations offers passengers the opportunity to visit both Universal Orlando theme parks, as well as many of Orlando's attractions. This further expands their travel menu, which already includes Europe, Asia, South Africa, the South Pacific, and Central and South America. Travelers have the option of choosing complete vacation packages or the opportunity to create their own personalized holiday.
