Comedian wins local Adult Entertainment Category award with a squeaky clean show. Surprised by category, but not by winning.

“It was a mixed feeling of both shock and gratitude when I first heard the category I had won.” says Belleville, Ontario Hypnotist Richard Cole after hearing news that he had won the local newspapers’ Reader’s Choice Award in the “Adult Entertainment” category. Make no mistake, this comedy performer has a squeaky clean show.
“At first it made sense,” says Cole a 15 year entertainment veteran, and certified clinical hypnotist with an office in Belleville. “You have a category for Children’s Entertainment, for kids, and one for Adult Entertainment, or .. bigger kids, more sophisticated, perhaps a family with teens, or a corporate group. It makes sense I’d win since I have such a great show!” laughs Cole who has presented his Comedy Hypnosis Show regularly in the Quinte region and across Ontario. “When I told my production team I’d won, they joked that after all these years of performing, they didn’t know I did an “exotic” show.”
For over 5 years Richard has been performing what he calls his “grandma friendly” comedy hypnosis show, where the audience members are the stars of the show. “I’ve performed across Ontario for high schools, corporate groups, fairs and festivals, and I can honestly tell you, my show is not X-Rated, humiliating in any way, no swear words, no one takes off their clothes and I definitely don’t have any brass poles on stage. They’d only get in the way of the laughs!!”
