She has been actively involved at the convergence of science, technology, and learning for nearly 20 years, having gotten her start at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) in the group that produced Mosaic (Netscape). Belyaev also exercises leadership via the Chicago Learning Council, the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, and the Institute for Work and Economy's multinational Initiative on the Integration of New Immigrants in the Workplace.
