e-learning expert Anna Belyaev to Speak at nanoTX'06 Nanotechnology Conference in Dallas,Texas

(PRWEB) August 22, 2006 -- Recognized futurist and e-learning expert to speak at global nanotechnology conference on September 28. Type A Learning Agency LLC, a Chicago-based leadership and learning catalyst announced today that founder and managing member Anna Belyaev will be a speaker at the nanoTX'06 conference being held September 26-28 in Dallas, TX.

Every major economic era has stimulated a global revolution both in the jobs available and how people learn to work. Entitled "Learning to work in the Nanotech Age: how employable will we be?" Belyaev's forum will explore where innovation and leadership in learning are most needed now to ensure that the U.S. workforce will enjoy the best jobs and lifestyles of the Nanotech Age.

Colloquially known as the "Faith Popcorn for Entrepreneurs," Belyaev is frequently consulted about economic trends and workforce learning by parties as diverse as the Italian Trade Commission and the Canadian Department of Economic Development. She has been actively involved at the convergence of science, technology, and learning for nearly 20 years, having gotten her start at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) in the group that produced Mosaic (Netscape). Belyaev also exercises leadership via the Chicago Learning Council, the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, and the Institute for Work and Economy's multinational Initiative on the Integration of New Immigrants in the Workplace.

"Fact is, jobs don't grow on trees," Belyaev asserts. "That's why I'm an entrepreneur and why I'm focusing my entrepreneurial energies in the field of learning. It's no secret that our current educational system is not equipped to get everyone participating in our economy ready for the jobs of the future. To continue to compete effectively in the global economy, to enjoy the opportunity and lifestyles to which we've become accustomed, and to make the difference in the world that we're up to making, we've got a lot to learn!"

As CEO of Type A Learning Agency, Belyaev has created a company that offers executives and directors of world-class organizations new vehicles for driving growth, innovation, and performance. The innovative tactics Type A employs focus less on getting people to pass new tests and more on instigating the sorts of conversations, behaviors, and actions that will make the strategic impact its clients, and our world at large, need now.

Belyaev graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Lawrence University with a BA in Slavic Languages and Literature, and earned an MA in Russian Literature and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her colorful career also includes stints teaching K-12 in the US and Russia, helping universities and schools make the most of technology in their classrooms, and working with specialized populations of learners (including gifted and talented, learning disabled, at risk, recent immigrants, women in transition, and senior adult).
