No More Excuses: New Wireless Product from Autero Makes Safety Technology Affordable to Fleet Owners

A new wireless product distributed by Autero enables fleet owners to equip their vehicles with safety technology at a much lower cost.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 25, 2006 -- Fleet owners have claimed their number one obstacle to installing safety technology on their vehicles is the high cost. Autero has obliterated that excuse with cutting-edge wireless technology that is simple to install. The cost-savvy minds behind Autero’s latest product know that fleet owners want to make economically sound choices. That’s why they developed wireless technology -- which equals easier installation, requiring less time and ultimately resulting in a much lower price tag.

The new reverse backing alert system from Autero has a wireless connection between the controller and the LCD screen. It also boasts exclusive features such as a waterproof controller and eight-foot sonar detection. What this means for fleet managers is big savings. Waterproof controllers can be mounted externally, which saves at least 30 minutes of installation time. Greater detection means increased safety, which translates to savings from potential property damages, loss of productivity, third-party liability claims and possible physical harm or death.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that the potential of preventing back-up accidents is better than 90 percent with a back-up alert system. Each year, about 20 percent of all fleet drivers are involved in an on-the-job vehicle accident, compared to the six percent of workers in other occupations who suffer an on-the-job injury or illness.

While safety remains the top priority, cost is a significant consideration for fleet owners. According to the American Society of Safety Engineers, the average cost of a fleet accident, including direct and indirect costs, is $14,000. A more efficient fleet means less mileage per vehicle, meaning fewer maintenance problems and less vehicle downtime.

Autero is the only supplier in the US boasting the concept and design of a parking sensor system made specifically with the commercial vehicle in mind. Included in the price of their systems, Autero will supply written installation instructions as well as provide over the phone technical service. Also, depending upon volume, Autero can send an installation technician to spend a full day training installers to equip vehicles with the products. Autero continues to exceed expectations when it comes to providing fleet owners with cost-effective collision avoidance solutions.

Autero is a national distributor of premium automotive aftermarket accessories, specializing in Bully Dog performance products and collision avoidance technology such as backup sensors and cameras. These high quality products are marketed to distributors and retailers throughout the United States. Motivated by the goal to become the nation’s premier supplier of cutting-edge aftermarket products -- concentrating on performance and safety systems -- Autero offers unparalleled service, incredible selection and inventory and competitive pricing.
