Crowdsourcing software development business moves to publish first aggregated book where contributors reap dividends of book sales.
Calgary, AB (PRWEB) August 25, 2006 -- Cambrian House Inc., a Calgary-based software company with a unique crowdsourcing business model, is now looking to the crowds for the world’s first crowdsourced book. In the same ilk as Tim Russet’s book Wisdom of Our Fathers” or Frank Warren’s “PostSecret”, Cambrian House wants to compile their Community’s favorite movie moments with a twist: contributors to the book collect dividends of book sales.
“Everyone has their own Must See Hollywood Moment. It’s that magical moment when you are watching a movie, cheering for the hero or heroine, when a scene moves us in some profound way,” Jonathan Rasmusson, Cambrian House Community Evangelist, remarks. “Our Community members undoubtedly have their own, and in sharing theirs they can both capture fame and partake in the profits.”
With 101 submissions being accepted, each submission being worth five Royalty Points, 505 Royalty Points are now available to the Community. “There are tons that will still have to be done – generating content in the first part. There’s still a cover that needs to be designed, content that needs to be laid out, and submissions that need to be compiled,” Rasmusson admits. “This book is going to be a large undertaking for our Community, but at the end of the day, they’ll be able to hold in their hands a tangible product of crowdsourcing and that’s incredibly exciting.”
