Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 31, 2006 -- Gaywheels.com, the only website dedicated to the GLBT automotive consumer, wants to hear from its readers via a new blog capability. The site has launched the ability for car shoppers, industry insiders and automotive enthusiasts to easily post comments about articles and vehicle reviews written by the Gaywheels.com staff.

“We built the site on a blog platform anticipating the growing popularity of blogs,” said Joe LaMuraglia, publisher of Gaywheels.com. “We’re now at the point where we have the brand awareness and staff to support the posting of consumers’ comments. Everyone has their own opinions about cars and trucks or our reviews of them, and we want to share those comments.”

Since launch, consumers have been able to send e-mails, but it wasn’t feasible to post them efficiently. Now that the blog capability has been enabled, readers can share their automotive opinions by posting comments on articles, issues and new-vehicle reviews. The new capabilities also enhance the ability of other blogs to link back to Gaywheels.com feature articles and reviews.

In addition to enhancing the current site, Gaywheels.com has launched a MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/gaywheels. “We couldn’t ignore the influence of MySpace as a marketing tool and a great way to connect with a huge online audience,” says LaMuraglia. “It’s an amazing awareness-building tool, and we’re pleased to have joined the GLBT community on MySpace.”

The most recent updates are just a hint of what is to come on the fast-growing Gaywheels.com website. “As a former employee of Toyota and a student of lean production techniques, I like to think we practice ‘kaizen’ when it comes to Gaywheels.com. The site is never complete and we are always looking for ways to improve,” comments LaMuraglia. Future additions to the site will include additional functionality and aesthetic improvements.

Gaywheels.com is dedicated to promoting responsible consumerism and affecting change by encouraging car shoppers to patronize gay-friendly companies throughout the vehicle purchase process. Users of the site are able to investigate which automakers and other automotive companies offer domestic partner benefits to their employees, thus qualifying them as “gay-friendly.” With that information at hand, they can make educated choices during the car-buying process. Gaywheels.com launched in June 2005 as the consummate gay-friendly automotive resource.
