ProDance 2006 Supports the Fight Against Breast Cancer

ProDance 2006 supports breast cancer awareness with its "Dance for Hope" routines taught to over 70 pro sports dance teams from the NFL, NBA, AFL, CFL, and other leagues at LaQuinta Resort and Club in LaQuinta, California, July 30–August 2, 2006.

(PRWEB) August 15, 2006 -- ProDance 2006 supports breast cancer awareness with its "Dance for Hope" routines taught to over 70 pro sports dance teams from the NFL, NBA, AFL, CFL, and other leagues at LaQuinta Resort and Club in LaQuinta, California, July 30–August 2, 2006.

When ProDance announced that the Breast Cancer Research Foundation would be the official charity for this year's conference, they had no idea how much of an impact it would have on it's attendees.

From the ribbons surrounding the registration desk, to the routines taught by John Peters, "pink" was definitely the color of ProDance 2006!

The ProDance "Dance for Hope" routines taught by famed choreographer, John Peters, included pink towels, and pink dance ribbons. "We just thought it would look great out on the field and on the court," Said John Peters, Choreographer, "and if we do this here and everyone goes back to their teams and let people know why their performing the routines it begets and begets, and more people will be informed."

“We envision the over 70 teams in attendance holding "Dance for Hope" events in their cities," said Rosalyn Jones, CEO/Founder of ProDance. “The routines are crowd-pleasing while spreading the message and increasing the total contribution to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation."

About The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
Evelyn H. Lauder founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in 1993 as an independent, not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and genetic research. The Foundation supports scientists at leading medical centers worldwide whose research is focused on achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime. A minimum of 85 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. In October 2005, $22 million was awarded to 110 researchers across the U.S. and in Canada, Europe, Latin America, and Israel. Money magazine named BCRF one of America’s eight top charities. The Foundation has received the highest rating from Charity Navigator, four stars, for four consecutive years, which means BCRF has outperformed most other charities in America in efficiently managing its finances.
