Mobile Productivity, Inc., (MPi) a premier supplier of proprietary diagnostic, repair information and service merchandising solutions to the automotive industry, announced today the appointment of Joe Hilger to Director of Alliances and Chrysler Group Dealer Development. In this position, Hilger will leverage a career of more than three decades with Chrysler Group to help MPi further develop strategic automotive alliances, as well as increase penetration with all Chrysler Group franchises nationwide.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) September 5, 2006 -- Mobile Productivity, Inc., (MPi) a premier supplier of proprietary diagnostic, repair information and service merchandising solutions to the automotive industry, announced today the appointment of Joe Hilger to Director of Alliances and Chrysler Group Dealer Development. In this position, Hilger will leverage a career of more than three decades with Chrysler Group to help MPi further develop strategic automotive alliances, as well as increase penetration with all Chrysler Group franchises nationwide.

Hilger retired from a 33-year career with DaimlerChrysler, where he was Vice President of Global Service for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands. While at the Chrysler group, he focused on improving dealers’ retail business by advancing the call for increased customer satisfaction, service department productivity, vehicle and service quality, including dealer/factory relations. Prior to becoming Vice President, Hilger held the position of Director of International Service and Parts and also served as Director of Sales and Marketing Training. Prior to that, Hilger served as Director of Mopar® Sales and Marketing where he protected and expanded the Mopar® Parts and Hemi® Engine brands.

During the first thirteen years of his career Hilger worked directly with dealers in the Kansas City, Memphis and Atlanta zones where he led efforts to improve dealer viability and all elements of the Service and Parts business.

Hilger is a 1972 graduate of Pittsburg State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Automotive Technology.

In July of this year, Hilger founded Hilger Performance, LLC, a consulting company which focuses on productivity and performance within the automotive industry as well as drag racing. Hilger will continue his involvement with Hilger Performance while also assuming his new role at MPi.

“We are happy to have Joe on our team. He has a deep appreciation for dealers and wants to see automotive service departments and technicians improve productivity and efficiency. His wealth of experience in the service and parts business, his intuition to know what technicians want, and his desire to help dealers grow their service and parts businesses make him an invaluable addition,” said Les Silver, MPi CEO

Commenting on his new venture, Hilger stated, “I really enjoyed my career at the Chrysler Group and am proud of my contribution to the company and its dealers. As my quest to help dealers and technicians continues, I am very excited about my association with MPi and ARGIS. When technicians are unable to quickly and efficiently find information, valuable time is lost and then everyone loses . . . the customer, the dealer, and the technician. ARGIS solves these problems. I have seen this system in operation at dealerships and it is clear that it offers real benefits. I have a deep respect for dealers and I plan to help them grow their Service and Parts business in a meaningful way.”
