The Free Online Books Internet Library has many book collections categorized as general, subject specific, and reference. With a general collection, users search for a book by author, title, or subject. The library contains eighteen such collections. Its thirty-threer subject specific collections include: Computers(4), Economics(6), History(2), Literature(11), Miscellaneous(2), Mythology(2), Free Textbooks(4) and Women in Literature(2). Its eleven reference collections include: Almanacs (4) Atlases(3), Dictionaries, Thesauruses, Glossaries(6), Encyclopedias(3) and Web Links by College Major(1).

Wildwood, FL (PRWEB) September 3, 2006 -- The Free Online Books Internet Library contains many book collections categorized as general, subject specific, and reference. It is the twenty-second free library of the
Students, Teachers, and Professionals Internet Library. Books and collections come from professors, colleges, businesses, governments, and sites specializing in academic material. Upon entering the library, visitors view instructions on how to quickly find a particular book using Google or a general collection’s search mechanisms.

The libraries thirty-threer subject specific collections include: Computers(4), Economics(6), History(2), Literature(11), Miscellaneous(2), Mythology(2), Free Textbooks(4)and Women in Literature(2). The popular Free Textbooks collection contains
Free Online Business Textbooks, and Free Online Nonbusiness Textbooks. In addition, the
Quick Notes Learning System series has free accounting, economics, mathematics, and statistics books. The series is available in paper for a delivered cost of up to $9.95. Walter Antoniotti, author of the series, has created free Internet libraries for each subject. These libraries contain free companion books, other supplemental learning material, career information, blogs, reference materials, improving grades information, and links to relevant sites. Walter’s company, 21st Century Learning Products, is part of an unofficial effort to lower, and in some cases eliminate, the cost of textbooks. Other participants include Textbook Revolution, Make Textbooks Affordable, and Freeload Press.

Walter believes Internet publishing is better than paper publishing. “Once developed, there is no manufacturing and distribution cost. These books are interactive. They include Internal links, which make learning easier as definitions and concepts from earlier chapters appear as review links in later chapters. Audio and video links to important events make learning more interesting. Economic data for Walter’s Economics Interactive Class Notes With Links, contains over 100 links, is kept current while paper books lags by 3-5 years. I can’t wait for the next big economic event to generate important audio/video information. THe next day, I’ll add it to the appropriate chapters and to the Educational Audio/Video Internet Library.

A general collection is where users search for a particular book by author, title, or subject. The Free Online Books Internet Library contains eighteen general collections and makes browsing easier by stating the uniqueness of each collection. For example, the Awesome Library allows for elementary school, middle school, and college searches. Bartleby features Quotations and Biographies searches, and contains special collections including The Harvard Classics, The Shelf of Fiction, and The Oxford Shakespeare collection. Ibibliois is a unique interactive library where users search software, music, literature, art, history, science, to name a few, and create their own collection.

These Internet book and libraries can be located through Google. Knowledge is being developed at an ever increasing rate. Its storage and retrieval will be made faster, easier and more enjoyable by Internet books and libraries.
