Music to the Ears: "Tune Tournament" Wants Public to Decide Best New Songs

Download this press release as an Adobe PDF document.

Indie music Website TuneFlow.com is asking the public to vote for the best songs in its latest "tune tournament." All tournament songs are available for free downloading.

(PRWEB) September 7, 2006 -- Indie music Website TuneFlow.com's September "tune tournament" is now underway.

Part "American Idol," part edgy indie scene, TuneFlow's tournament challenges artists to create and record new songs based on four titles chosen by TuneFlow. After the titles are announced, artists have just one month to write, record, and submit their entries. The public then rates the songs submitted, and the artists with the highest average ratings win cash, prizes, and recognition.

September's tournament features the titles:
"Is Everyone Insane?"
"Love Fool"
"The Mistake I Made"
"You Don't Know Me"

Song reviewers are rewarded for their participation, too. Each song you rate can be downloaded free during the month of the tournament (songs are in iPod-ready MP3 format, and there's no DRM).

With fresh, new music...free, legal downloads...and the public getting to decide the winners, there's a lot to like here.

To get started as a reviewer, just register at http://www.tuneflow.com, then click the "Rate Tunes" button.

But how good is the music? After all, you probably won't hear any entries by John Mayer or Christina Aguilera.

"Amazingly good actually," according to TuneFlow founder, Gery Carson. "The music that our artists are creating --I'd put it up against anything out there. The fact is, there are thousands of great independent singers, songwriters and bands all over the world making awesome music; you just don't hear them on the radio --not yet anyway. We're delighted to be an outlet for these talented individuals," says Carson.

Artists interested in entering the October tournament (or getting a free Website and music store to sell their music on TuneFlow) can get the full details at: http://www.tuneflow.com/tournament.php
