American Artist and Designer Lore Eckelberry Conquers Hawaii

Amazing artist and interior designer Lore Eckelberry have just finished her latest creation, a great water front condo in the prime area of Hawaii, Diamond Head.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 11, 2006 -- The art of interior designing is a great ability for the selected few. To view some of Lore Eckelberry’s work visit her website at: www.artistlore.com

Artist Designer Lore Eckelberry says: “Interior Design is like having an artist paint a canvas just for you. An interior designer can create a space for you that is far beyond your wildest dreams and yet exactly what you wanted. A good designer will look at the space and really imagine being the person who will live there: what would he like to see in the space, what he will enjoy, and what kinds of reactions his friends will have when they see it. It is very important to feel very comfortable about the place – to feel that is completely yours and that you belong there. I like to provide comfort and elegance and a very artistic environment that has been totally created for the individuals who are living in it."

Lore Eckelberry also says: "When I am decorating, the space inspires me, the location inspires me, and most of all, the people who will inhabit the place inspire me. Sometimes the architecture is so amazing the Designer should work around it, so as not to overwhelm it with furniture but only to enhance the space and make it shine even more. Architecture, given the opportunity, can make a statement by itself. Furniture, colors, textures and fabrics all add to the space and create a certain ambiance. Any one or more of these elements can completely transform a space."

Lore Eckelberry thinks: "It is amazing – you can cover a piece of furniture and change it completely. It can look great as if it were an exclusive piece made just for you. One of my favorite parts of decorating is the creation of the art for the walls. Often I create a painting for the space and enhance the entire room. Many times I travel to obtain the exact piece of furniture that I envision. Usually I go to Europe because the French and the Italians are my favorite furniture designers. Their style of elegance and simplicity is very unique and many times the pieces of furniture are quite breathtaking. They are truly art pieces."

In interior designer Lore Eckelberry's opinion: "Color is a very wonderful tool to work with. Combining and contrasting color can, by itself, bring so much life to a room. When the right combination of color is selected, the place can look astonishing even when the furniture is not there.Once you start picking window coverings, floor, furniture and accessories it is as if you were a conductor of an orchestra in harmony, making everything sing together. And when it is finished, the place is beautiful and dreamy -- a true work of art. The canvas is not longer empty, It is full of color, texture and movement and it creates a complete communication that makes you say: 'Wow! It’s a dream'.”

One of Lore Eckelberry's clients says: “Thanks for doing the interior design and furnishing on my condo. It looks fantastic…understated yet clearly luxurious, welcoming and warm. You were able to give me exactly the contemporary island feel that I was looking for!”

Furthermore Lore Eckelberry advises: “Allow your interior designer to come up with ideas and try to implement them. You may be surprised with the result. It may be something that you really love but never would have imagined.”
