Rivet Logic Announces Updated Alfresco Developer Training Course

Newly updated course includes latest features of the leading open source ECM solution from Alfresco.

Reston, VA (PRWEB) September 12, 2006 -- Rivet Logic Corporation, a leading provider of open source content management solutions and training services, today announced the availability of an update to the certified developer course for Alfresco, the leading open source enterprise content management (ECM) system. Alfresco couples the innovation of open source with the stability of a true enterprise-class platform built by a team of ECM industry veterans, providing a highly cost effective solution for document management, records management, knowledge management, web content management, enterprise portals and collaboration.

According to Mike Vertal, Rivet Logic’s CEO, “New course material has been added to cover Alfresco’s new Development SDK, User Interface Dialog/Wizard Framework, and JavaScript support. These enable the development of content rich applications using the Alfresco platform, and customization of both Alfresco’s content repository and its web client interface.” The updated course – Introduction to Alfresco for Developers – provides a combination of hands-on labs and theory covering Alfresco’s numerous interfaces available to developers, including the Foundation Services API, the Java Content Repository (JSR-170 compliant) API, and Web Services interfaces.

Key topics of the course include:

  • Alfresco Architecture

  • Content Modeling

  • Meta-data Extractors

  • Content Transformers

  • Templating

  • Repository Foundation Services

  • Java Server Faces (JSF) Components

  • Customizing the Alfresco Web Client

  • Alfresco Rules Engine

  • Web Services

  • Security Management

The next publicly scheduled Introduction to Alfresco for Developers course will be conducted by Rivet Logic in Reston, VA on September 26-28, 2006.
