Chicago, Ill. /Palo Alto, Calif. (PRWEB) September 22, 2006 -- The new tools of social media are changing the way organizations communicate with their employees, investors, media and other audiences. But most companies are lagging behind in these business-critical innovations.

For them, there is the 3rd Annual New Communications Forum.

This is a great fit for us
This year’s conference and expo, the largest yet, will take place March 7-9, 2007, at the Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. The conference is co-sponsored by Lawrence Ragan Communications (www.ragan.com), the leading publisher and trainer in corporate communications, public relations, speechwriting and web content management; and the Society for New Communications Research (http://www.sncr.org), a nonprofit global think tank dedicated to the advanced study of new media and emerging modes of communication.

New Communications Forum was founded in 2005 and quickly gained a reputation as one of the world's leading conferences focusing on blogs, wikis, RSS, podcasts, videocasts and other emerging media and communications platforms. New Communications Forum is a focused conference specifically designed to teach PR, marketing, advertising and media professionals how to harness the power of new media tools for corporate branding and internal and external communications.

The forum provides an in-depth, hands-on exploration of the future of communications. Presenters and instructors are senior professionals from around the world and journalists from leading media outlets, all of whom have pioneered the use of these new tools and technologies.

New Communications Forum 2007 conference tracks will include:
·   New Approaches to Internal Corporate Communications
·   New Trends & Strategies for PR & External Communications
·   The New World of Marketing & Advertising
·   New Media & the New Face of Journalism

The Society for New Communications Research and Ragan are now accepting proposals for the NewComm Forum 2007 program. Those interested in speaking at the event should send a 250- to 500-word session proposal and biography, including previous speaking experience to Rebecca Anderson at rebeccaa@ragan.com and Jen McClure at jmcclure@sncr.org by Monday, Oct. 2.

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Ragan to present our third annual conference,” stated Jen McClure, executive director of the Society for New Communications Research and co-founder of New Communications Forum. “Ragan has been a great supporter of this event since we first launched it, and is an active member of the SNCR. Ragan is also a very well respected producer of excellent conferences and educational resources for professional communicators and the communications industry. We are confident that this partnership will greatly benefit the industry and provide the infrastructure, resources and expertise necessary to support the growth and success of this important conference and exposition.”

Ragan brings a wealth of experience in conferences and hands-on training to the partnership. “This is a great fit for us,” says Jim Ylisela, Ragan group publisher. “Social media is changing everything about internal and external communications—and our customers are demanding these skills. This conference will go a long way toward helping them get up to speed, and beyond.”

Watch for future announcements and a full schedule of speakers and events as the conference unfolds in the coming months.
