Greater Lumberton Business Association Announces Fundraising Scholarship Dinner Dance

Proceeds from this event will benefit local high school students pursuing a career in business.

Lumberton, NJ (PRWEB) September 25, 2006 –- The Greater Lumberton Business Association announced that it will be hosting a fundraising Scholarship Dinner Dance on Thursday, October 26th, 2006 from 6:00-10:00pm. The event will be held at Milano Modo by Lamberti located at 1643 Route 38, Mount Holly, New Jersey. Proceeds from this event will benefit local high school students pursuing a career in business, or as young aspiring entrepreneurs.

The cost is $65.00 per person and $125.00 per couple. It will be cocktail attire and a cash bar. Seating is limited.

Business owners, business managers, press, and residents from the surrounding communities have been invited.

A large number of items will be available through a silent auction. There will be many items available from Independent Galleries such as fine art, sports items, sports art, and a variety of memorabilia, jewelry and specialty items. Donated baskets and items from area businesses will also be available to bid on. If paying by check there will be no sales tax on items.

The Greater Lumberton Business Association is requesting RSVPs by October 14th. To find out more call 609-267-2855 or (609) 261-7352.

In addition, the GLBA is accepting basket donations for the silent auction until October 14th. If an individual or business would like to donate money toward the scholarship fund, or a basket for the silent auction please call 609-267-2855, or send a check or money order to the Greater Lumberton Business Association. Please note on the check that your donation is for the “scholarship fund”.

The GLBA will be issuing an application and a request for an essay from high school students pursuing a career in business sometime in the 1st quarter of 2007.

About the Greater Lumberton Business Association
The Greater Lumberton Business association was formed to share information and knowledge, create a community of business owners and business managers, and conduct productive monthly meetings in the greater Lumberton area. It is an organization that represents and speaks for business owners, but cares about and considers the needs of the community. It accepts memberships from businesses in Lumberton, Hainesport, Mount Laurel, Medford, Mount Holly, Eastampton, Southampton, and Westampton. Meetings are typically held the second Tuesday of each month and are hosted by a GLBA member. Business card exchanges take place and discounts are provided on a member-to-member basis.
