New Dry Skin Care Solution Prevents Premature Aging

Observing Healthy Aging Month can include solutions such as shielding lotions.
What makes a shielding lotion an effective anti-aging dry skin care option is how it works on the skin

Beverly Hills, Calif. (PRWEB) September 27, 2006 -- It’s Healthy Aging Month and of course that means attention to physical fitness, mental wellness or improving social interests. Also important is the care and pampering of skin at any age to prevent premature aging caused by dry skin conditions. Fortunately, the effects of aging can be prevented and in many cases, reversed with a new dermatological breakthrough in dry skin care called a shielding lotion.

“What makes a shielding lotion an effective anti-aging dry skin care option is how it works on the skin,” says Dr. Lisa Benest, a dermatologist with a successful practice in Burbank, Calif., “It appears to be an ordinary dry skin care lotion; however it actually works very differently on the skin protecting it against many environmental factors that contribute to aging. While most lotions only attempt to artificially add moisture to the skin, a shielding lotion creates an invisible barrier that keeps out harmful toxins and keeps in the natural moisture.”

Many people are involved in daily activities that are hyper-drying to the skin. Daily housekeeping and frequent laundering dry the skin as can many artistic projects. Attention should be given to protecting hands when working with soaps, paints, solvents, adhesives and other irritants. Shielding lotions are designed to bond with the skin keeping moisture-robbing irritants out. When participating in outdoor activities such gardening, fishing and camping, daily outdoor exercise or taking care of pets, Skin MD Natural helps circumvent and alleviate dry and irritated skin.

Dermatologists have found that patients heal more quickly with fewer office visits when using a shielding lotion for a variety of conditions, including anti-aging and dry skin care.

There are many moisturizing products available in every departmental store, grocery outlet and pharmacy, but they are not necessarily effective for preventing aging skin. Most of them work only for a short time until they wear off or are washed off. A shielding lotion like Skin MD Natural, has a light, sheer formula that incorporates a number of natural herbs, vitamins and extracts, as well as a new super-humectant, Symdiol 68. It contains its own antimicrobial and anti-aging properties that work in tandem to form the barrier that protects the skin’s surface from external irritants, and attracts and retains moisture in the deeper layers of skin.

Setting up a dry skin care routine during Healthy Aging Month will pay dividends in a healthy, youthful –looking skin all year round.
