Human Monitoring (HM) Announces Availability of its Fast H.264 Decoder for NXP's Semiconductor's IP-STB810

Human Monitoring Ltd. (HM), a leading provider of advanced video processing technologies, announced today that it has a definitive cooperation with NXP Semiconductors (formerly Philips Semiconductors) for H.264 Main Profile Decoders.

Givat Hashlosha, Israel (PRWeb) January 8, 2007 -- Human Monitoring Ltd, a leading provider of advanced video processing technologies, announced today that it has a definitive cooperation with NXP Semiconductors (formerly Philips Semiconductors) for H.264 Main Profile Decoders.

The cooperation allows NXP to enhance its IP-STB810 offering by including HM's lightening fast H.264 Main Profile Decoder as an integral part of NXP's IP-STB-810. The STB-810 is a set-top box semiconductor solution to build feature-rich IP set-top box devices for mass deployment. It offers an unparalleled interactive IPTV experience for consumers to play back thousands of unique and on-demand videos as well as accessing other services offered by service providers.

The decoder was developed in close cooperation with NXP and some of its leading customers. This solution is part of our wider scope video offering which includes among others: Video Encoders, Stills Image Codec, Video Stabilizer and Motion Compensated De-Interlacers
HM's H.264 Decoder is capable of decoding SDTV (D1) Main Profile streams of high bit rates including CABAC, providing uncompromising picture quality. "NXP is powering the revolution in the new IPTV viewing experience, in which new video standards such as H264 play an important role." said Guus Frericks, Vice President, Business Line STB and Home Media Devices, NXP Semiconductors.
