Royalty Free Music provider Beatsuite.com has been approached by Film and Video Software Giant Avid to supply music for their new '30 Spot Contest.'

(PRWeb) January 10, 2007 -- Royalty Free Music provider Beatsuite.com has been approached by Film and Video Software Giant Avid to supply music for their new '30 Spot Contest.'

Under the deal, Beatsuite.com will issue contestants in Avid's '30 Spot Contest' a free license to use any of the library's database of 6,000 royalty-free music tracks for the contest.

Patrick McLean, senior product manager for Avid, said: "Beatsuite.com offers a great variety of music and is very user-friendly. We're excited to be partnering with the company for our contest."

Building on a concept that originated in a garage in Massachusetts in 1987, Avid has become the world leader in digital media creation tools for film, video, audio, animation, games, and broadcast professionals.

Today, the vast majority of prime time television shows, feature films, commercials and music videos are made using one or more Avid products.

Steve Bainbridge, managing director of Beatsuite.com, says: "It's fantastic news for Beatsuite.com to be picked and to supply the music for Avid's filmmaking contest. We're delighted to be involved, and also to get so much attention from some of the world's best up-and-coming video editors and filmmakers. They need great music and easy access to it, we can provide that and they can concentrate on creating the film."

"We already have over 6,000 registered users of Beatsuite.com, but this will push us into new markets and strengthen our reputation as a provider of high quality, production music and sounds. Its great exposure and we are delighted."

The '30 Spot Contest' invites video editors and filmmakers to create the best possible 30 second advert for Avid. Not only could they win VIP treatment at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, but the winning entry will be seen by filmmakers, studio execs, and celebrities throughout the festival. The TV Advert will also be broadcast across the USA next year.

The winning entry will be seen by filmmakers, studio execs and celebrities throughout the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in January, and will be broadcast on television throughout the USA during 2007.
