Major site upgrade adds new features optimized for software developers and information technology professionals.

San Francisco, CA (PRWeb) January 10, 2007 -- FindITAnswers.com, an innovator in providing Web search for software developers and IT pros, announced a major upgrade to its search site, adding thousands of new information sources to its already comprehensive index (http://www.finditanswers.com).

According to Peter Westerman, President of IT Influentials, the parent company of FindITAnswers.com, the site launched in 2006 with the goal of providing software developers and IT pros with tools that would surface hard to find technical documents, podcasts, blog posts, research, and vendor whitepapers. "There's an enormous amount of content available on the Web for technical professionals, but some of the best information has remained elusive until now."

FindITAnswers.com, was initially developed as a by-product of our consulting and advisory services. We analyzed the information architecture of hundreds of developer and IT websites -- and the link structure that connects them. The insights we gained played an important role in our development of FindITAnswers.com
"FindITAnswers.com, was initially developed as a by-product of our consulting and advisory services. We analyzed the information architecture of hundreds of developer and IT websites -- and the link structure that connects them. The insights we gained played an important role in our development of FindITAnswers.com," Westerman said. "In particular we were struck by how much useful information was obscured by a combination of inconsistent information architecture, and the biases of existing search tools. FindITAnswers.com was built as an alternative and adjunct to existing tools. Whether a developer is searching for AJAX, Web 2.0 or elliptic curve cryptography our goal is to provide the best results available on the web."
