Stunning Debut Novel Explores the Spiritual Side of First Love

"North of Channing Street" by Gloria Spivey Flecker is a warm and wonderful look into the nature and persistence of love and the importance of knowing oneself.

Murrells Inlet, SC (PRWeb) January 28, 2007 -- Young love impacts the life of a young Southern girl to the point of destruction in Gloria Spivey Flecker's heartfelt and semi-autobiographical romance, "North of Channing Street."

In love, timing is everything. Awakening to the inner self and realizing what true love really is can make the difference between a happy and an unhappy life. That's part of the message in Gloria Spivey Flecker's brilliantly realized novel, "North of Channing Street." Young southerner Molly Peale falls in love with Nick when she's just 15 years old. But she loves her dream of becoming an actress even more, and she soon heads for the bright lights of New York City, leaving Nick behind. Though famous, Molly never forgets Nick, and it's only when she sees him again later in life that she realizes she must make a decision that could change both their lives forever.

Flecker has created warm and winning characters that are hauntingly alive. Beautifully written, with a story as timeless as love itself, "North of Channing Street" will speak to anyone who has ever truly loved.

"North of Channing Street" is available for sale online at Amazon.com, Borders.com and through additional wholesale and retail channels worldwide.
