Built for both PCs and Macs, Comic Collector automatically pulls up detailed information and artwork for each series and issue, then makes it easy to sort, organize, inventory, categorize, and share comic details with friends.
IntelliScanner Comic Collector offers:
- Automatically identify series, issues, and cover artwork with the Add Series Assistant and an Internet database with over 250,000 issues. Comic Collector finds detailed information like the title, date, detailed credits (including writer, penciller, inker, editor, and cover credits), features, and a cover scan.
- Print IntelliScanner Comic Tags with any inkjet or laser printer: barcode-enabled inserts for any comic. Simply print on plain paper, fold in half, and stick it in the bag for detailed comic information and a unique barcode.
- Scanning integration with the included, portable IntelliScanner barcode reader. Scan a comic to pull up that issue in the system, run a complete inventory, move locations, or build a batch of what you'd like to browse through or edit when you get back at your computer. Take the scanner with you anywhere, then plug it back in when you return to your desk to download.
- Instant searching and browsing, powered by the open-source SQLite database engine.
- Smart Printing provides detailed comic lists with artwork, barcodes, and customizable details.
- Keep track of web-based comics, too -- just like an RSS feed reader.
Pricing & Availability
Comic Collector will make its first public appearance next week at Macworld Expo, and ships in April 2007. Pricing has not been announced.
The product requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later (Universal Binary) or Windows XP/Vista, along with a free USB port and Internet access. The package will include both an IntelliScanner Collector barcode reader and the Comic Collector software.
