The "Dare to Compare" Team of Samson Realty, LLC, Adds Interactive Mobile Text Messaging Tool Mobile Price Check

Bob Scherbarth's and Ed Duggan's "Dare to Compare" team of Samson Realty, LLC, Dare To Compare has added interactive text messaging service Mobile Price Check as an additional marketing tool for their listings. Using their cell phones, prospective home buyers will be able to call an 800 number on the Samson's team signs and instantly receive property information and pictures directly to their cell phones. The listing agents then receive the caller's cell number as a text, and also online, for proactive follow up.

When the prospective home buyer calls the 800 number in front of the home for sale, they are prompted to enter a code on the sign that is unique to that home. Within seconds the potential buyers receive a text of property information, including pictures, directly to their cell phone. The listing agent in turn immediately receives the caller's cell number as a text, and online, for proactive follow up. The real estate agent can also send text "alerts" of property changes to the potential buyers cell phones; such as price reductions and open house dates and times.

"An agent can go online at 11am on a Saturday and instantly send a text message reminder "alert" for a 1pm open house that day to the cell of every potential buyer who has called on that property," said Jim Lofton, creator of Mobile Price Check. "Thanks to the internet, real estate agents are no longer the gatekeepers to housing information. Agents need to find value-added services to offer their customers and Mobile Price Check is one such service. Many of the callers don't have an agent yet, sellers love it, and according to the National Association of Realtors over 70% of consumers hire the first agent who helps them," Lofton said.

Mobile Price Check is free for home buyers, although their standard text messaging rates from their carrier may apply. Real estate agents are charged $9.95 per month for each listing on the service which includes all text and phone fees.

There are more mobile phone subscribers than there are landline phone subscribers. Over 350 billion text messages are exchanged monthly worldwide. 89% of major brands plan to market via mobile phones by 2008 and 40% have already deployed text messaging campaigns.
