GhoStock 5, a paranormal enthusiasts' convention, will be held over Halloween weekend in Savannah, Georgia. Savannah, Ga. (PRWEB) October 10, 2007 -- GhoStock 5, a paranormal enthusiasts' convention, will be held over Halloween weekend, October 25th through 28th, 2007, at Savannah Georgia's Hilton Desoto Hotel.
Billed as a "spirited weekend of spirits", the convention was conceived over two years ago by Patrick Burns, co-star of Court TV's hit investigative series Haunting Evidence, and founder/director of the Ghost Hounds Paranormal Investigators Network.
Held twice a year, GhoStock lays claim as Savannah's original paranormal convention, and this October will mark its fifth iteration since July of 2005.
As in the past, the event will host a number of panel lectures led by notables in the paranormal field, with topics ranging from investigation techniques used in allegedly haunted locations, to discussions about psychic abilities.
The event's key note speech is scheduled to be delivered by famed parapsychologist Dr William Roll. Roll has been investigating the paranormal for over 5 decades. Most notably, he investigated the alleged poltergeist case of Tina Resch in the 1980s.
In the past, the event has brought together paranormal enthusiasts from as far away as Indiana and Wisconsin, eager to converge on Savannah and celebrate its famous haunted history.
Burns says, "Some consider Savannah to be the most haunted city in America, and it's widely regarded as 'the ghost hunters' Mecca' by many paranormal investigators. When I asked my peers where they wanted to hold GhoStock, Savannah was the hands-down winner by an overwhelming landslide."
The highlight of GhoStock is actual paranormal investigations of allegedly haunted landmarks around Savannah. A preselected number of attendees will be assigned to small teams who will conduct exclusive, private investigations at various locations throughout the city. Teams will review their evidence over the course of the weekend and present their findings during the conference.
Since 2005, GhoStock has provided free streaming video of many of the conference's events for those who are unable to attend in person, and will continue that tradition for GhoStock 5
