The American College Receives Unprecedented Alumni Support

In a remarkable show of support for the professional education advanced by The American College, donors are saluting the efforts of the faculty and staff with a banner year in charitable donations. As of October 10, The College achieved 841 President's Circle members, up from 267 last year, and expects to exceed 1,000 members - an extraordinary achievement for any public charity. To become a member of the President's Circle, donors must contribute a minimum of $1,500.

quot;In this, our 80th year as a non-profit, accredited college that serves as the educational Citadel to the financial services industry, our goal was to achieve 800 President's Circle members, up from 267 last year," notes Larry Barton, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of The American College. "I am delighted to announce that as of October 10 we achieved 841 members and we expect to exceed 1000 members - an extraordinary achievement for any public charity. This outpouring of support from our alumni is a special vote of confidence for the quality education advanced by The College and our plans for the future," he added.

The campaign to advance new technologies and curriculum enhancements at the school founded by Dr. Solomon S. Huebner has been driven by renewed excitement among Board volunteers, corporate clients of The College, alumni and staff. The campaign is being co-chaired by Debra Boblitt, CLF® Vice President - Agency, State Farm Insurance corporate office and Allen A. Skogebo, CLU®, ChFC® of Woodbury Financial.

President's Circle donors contribute a minimum of $1,500 to The American College. To thank President's Circle members for their steadfast support, The College will be hosting a special banquet in their honor at the Kennedy Space Center on November 15. Attendees will dine under a Saturn V rocket while the famed Nolan Gasser Ensemble entertains donors and guests with Broadway and jazz favorites from the past 80 years.

At this same event, the recipients of this year's Huebner Gold Medals, William H. Beckley, CLU®, ChFC®, MSFS, Executive Vice President, Agencies with Northwestern Mutual and Louis P. DiCerbo, II, LUTCF, CLU®, ChFC®, Chairman of PCP Benefit Plans, Ltd., will be recognized by their peers for their lifetime achievements. The Huebner Gold Medal is the highest honor bestowed by The American College.
