Ingenious New Book Empowers Children to Face Their Fears

Author and teacher, Shari Sparks relates to and relieves children who are plagued by worry in WHAT IF… I am afraid to use the restroom in school?

Cape Coral, Fla. (PRWEB) October 25, 2007 -- Marking the beginning of a new series, WHAT IF… I am afraid to use the restroom in school? by Shari Sparks shares the story of one little girl's fear over using the bathroom in school.

In WHAT IF… I am afraid to use the restroom in school?, a bright, little girl named Kelsey is excited about starting school. However, she has a problem…she is afraid to use the restroom in school. She tries very hard to distract herself from her worry, but she is unable to shake it. Upon arriving at school, she is asked to help another girl find the restroom…a nightmare come true. In spite of her apprehension, Kelsey faces her fear and is able to put her worry to rest once and for all.

In spite of being light-hearted and comical, WHAT IF… I am afraid to use the restroom in school? addresses a very common problem with children today. Drawing from her experience as a parent and teacher, the author takes on the nerves that children have expressed year after year in her classroom. Assuring kids they are not alone with their worries, Sparks helps children alleviate anxiety and achieve a relaxed attitude, which will enable them to conquer their fear.

Entertaining and comforting, WHAT IF… I am afraid to use the restroom in school? will have children worrying less and enjoying more of their childhood.
