USR, Inc. Attends Army Corps of Engineers Training

With Military security a high priority among worldwide threats on US targets, Universal Safety Response Inc. (USR) engineers Joe Webster, Dan Bertell, and Rich Crim along with Account Manager Jim Pardue attended and completed training at the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) Protective Design Center. Each participant received a Certificate of Training. They also learned about the new standards for protecting U. S. Military installations, and received Professional Development Hours. VP of Sales, Wes Foss, attended the training in spring of 2007 and now requires certain members of the USR staff to attend this ACOE education. Foss says that, "Our systems are a perfect fit for achieving ACOE's goals and the training to USR is invaluable."

(USR) engineers Joe Webster, Dan Bertell, and Rich Crim along with Account Manager Jim Pardue attended and completed training at the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) Protective Design Center. Foss has worked with the ACOE to design USR's solutions GRAB-sp, (Ground Retractable Vehicle Barrier) ODDS, (Over-speed Directional Detection System) ACP booths, controls, fencing, IDS, and fixed barriers into their over all security plan. Foss says that, "Our systems are a perfect fit for achieving ACOE's goals and the training to USR is invaluable."

The Protective Design Center (PDC) is the Army's center of expertise for engineering services related to force protection and protective design. PDC provides engineering design and support services to the Army for both permanent and expedient applications, as well as to DOD and other U.S. Government agencies; thus protecting assets against criminal, terrorist, conventional, nuclear and special weapon threats. PDC constantly evaluates new technology in security and incorporates proven systems such as USR's GRAB-sp and ODDS.

I benefited greatly from learning the over all goal of the ACOE for Access Control and how it relates to USR's solutions.
