Children's Halloween Charmer Spins the Tale of a Mischievous Little Witch Who Learns a Big Lesson

The Witch with an Itch by Richard Spalding is an enchanting, illustrated children's book about a little witch who learns that being naughty isn't always so nice.

Wilton, Conn. (PRWEB) October 31, 2007 -- A mischief-loving witch learns a valuable lesson about how to behave in Richard J. Spalding's delightfully illustrated children's book, The Witch with an Itch.

The little witch learns that being naughty is not all it's cracked up to be in Richard J. Spalding's magical children's book, The Witch with an Itch. Wanda the Witch lives in the forest with her wise cat Charky and a harvest mouse. While in the forest, she decides to play some tricks. She turns Mr. Frog's lily pad into a pumpkin, dunking him in the water. She topples Mr. Squirrel's carefully arranged pile of nuts. Wanda thinks this is hilarious fun, but the two forest friends band together and turn the table on the impish little witch, showing her that "what you give is what you get."

Written with warmth, wit and compassion, Spalding's book is a cheerful addition to any child's bookshelf. Based on stories the author's Grandmother told him, The Witch with an Itch gently relays its message even as it entertains with eye-poppingly colorful drawings. This is one book that is sure to be a family favorite this Halloween and all year round.
