Omni Oil & Gas Appoints Renn Rothrock President and CEO

Mr. Rothrock has previously served in senior engineering and executive management positions for both major and large independent oil and gas companies.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) October 16, 2007 -- Omni Oil & Gas, Inc. (OMOI.PK), a company specialized in oil and gas exploration and production, announced today that it has appointed Renn Rothrock as President, CEO and a Director of Omni.

James R. Renfro, former President and CEO of Omni, has resigned to pursue other endeavors in the industry but remains an integral member of the Company’s Board of Directors.

Prior to Omni, Mr. Rothrock has served in senior engineering and executive management positions for both major and large independent oil and gas companies. He has significant experience in the management of both public and private companies, in particular in the areas of engineering, finance, operations, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rothrock is a registered professional engineer, who holds BS and MS degrees in petroleum engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

Regarding the appointment, Omni Chairman Gordon Johnson stated, “Renn Rothrock is already a trusted member of the Omni team, having conducted a substantial portion of the Company’s reserve and evaluation work for the past two years as a consultant. Now as President and CEO, his leadership and experience will be instrumental in executing Omni’s business plan.”
