The online poker room's Live The Dream promotion gives 10 players the chance to become a professional poker player for a year. In addition to online and live poker skills, players will be judged based on their charisma, blogging skills, and more. Direct entry tournaments are held each Monday for seats in the Live The Dream casting sessions.

The top ten finalists from each of the direct entry tournaments will be invited to Everest Poker's first-ever casting call, where the competition will begin in earnest. In addition to this, they'll get their share of a guaranteed $10,000 prize pool.

632 players joined in the action at the first direct entry tournament in the Live The Dream promotion, creating a prizepool of $63,200 for the players. First place and $13,904 belonged to France's nettou; GunSlinger from Denmark took second place and $7,584. Italy's fabymac walked away in third place with $5,688. The rest of the winners were as follows: morpheo (Spain) $4,424; tofmoute76 (France) $3,160; etirow (France) $2,528; Beseker (Germany) $1,896; pokerlee00 (The Netherlands) $1106; bebar (France) $948; achil07 (France) $790.
