Owosso, MI (PRWEB) November 9, 2007 -- Casting Crowns is taking Covenant Eyes on the road during The Altar and The Door tour to encourage people to escape the temptations of Internet pornography. The Grammy and Dove Award winning Christian band will tour more than 80 cities over 13 months.

Hall said several songs on The Altar and The Door album deal with how people must overcome daily struggles and draw closer to God. The Internet, he said, is a tremendous source of temptation for many people. Surveys show up to 70 percent of men and 21 percent of women struggle with Internet pornography.

Youth leaders and others are learning more about Covenant Eyes during an intermission meeting at the concerts. As well, Covenant Eyes is sharing an information booth with Global Youth Ministry during the tour.

After winning numerous honors, including a 2006 Grammy for Lifesong, Casting Crowns has been nominated for an American Music Award for The Altar and The Door. The band is tapped as a "Favorite Artist" nominee for the 2007 American Music Awards in the Contemporary Inspirational Artist category. Winners will be announced Nov. 18 when the awards ceremony is broadcast live on ABC.
