Portland, OR (PRWEB) November 11, 2007 -- Award-winning author and filmmaker Raphael Cushnir provides powerful new insights regarding one of life's most confounding questions - "What is the best way to deal with our emotions?" in his new podcast show, Emotional Connection with Raphael Cushnir.

Cushnir's weekly podcast will depart from the usual interview format and instead present actual, unedited sessions with his clients. These sessions will each highlight a particular emotional challenge, and the fastest, most effective way to work through it.

Week one's theme is "Perfectionism." In this episode, premiering November 12th, Raphael works with Hana, who can't stop herself from unnecessarily working overtime.

Week two's theme is "Your Sacred To-Do List." In this episode, premiering November 26th (after a Thanksgiving week break), Rhoda wants to find a less pressured and 'salesy' way to build her business.

Week three's theme is "I feel unworthy." In this episode, premiering December 3rd, Debbie breaks through persistent negative beliefs that derail her from a life of greater freedom and service.

Week four's theme is "I can't stand my disability" In this episode, premiering December 10th, Maureen learns how "cradling" and "surfing," two key aspects of emotional connection, can liberate her from the majority of her suffering.

According to Raphael Cushnir, most of us never learn:

  • What an emotion really is
  • How to distinguish an emotion from a physical sensation
  • What to do with an emotion once it arises
  • How to blend thinking and feeling for maximum success

With each episode of this podcast, listeners will gain a greater understanding of these vital issues. They'll learn simple, direct practices that are immediately applicable to their own personal challenges.

Raphael Cushnir is a popular contributor to O, the Oprah magazine. He is the author of Unconditional Bliss, which was nominated for best Personal Growth title of 2000, Setting Your Heart on Fire, which is used as a teaching tool in spiritual centers nationwide, and How Now: 100 Ways to Celebrate the Present Moment, which Spirituality & Health Magazine named one of the "Best Spiritual Books of 2005." He came to his current path after years as a schoolteacher, activist and award-winning Hollywood filmmaker. His heart was opened through an experience of profound grief.
