American Community Mutual Insurance Company, a leading provider of Individual and Group health insurance, announced today of the introduction of APEP Choices(TM), an affordable plan for small groups in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and Ohio.

Livonia, MI (HRMarketer/PRWeb) November 16, 2007 -- American Community Mutual Insurance Company, a leading provider of Individual and Group health insurance, announced today of the introduction of APEP Choices(TM), an affordable plan for small groups in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and Ohio. The new product is available for groups with an effective date beginning December 1, 2007.

APEP Choices is a PPO (preferred provider) health plan for groups of 2-50 employees. The product offers variety and choice, including 14 plan designs, as well as the following:

It is yet another example of our commitment to design quality, affordable health insurance products to meet the needs of our customers.
·Industry-leading accident benefit that waives the deductible
·Preventive care benefits
·Family security benefit
·Provider networks that include leading hospitals and doctors
·National travel network for coast-to-coast coverage
·Optional dental, vision, weekly income and dependent life coverage
·Prescription drug discounts and options
·$5 million medical lifetime maximum

Also available is an optional Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) to help employers reduce premium cost. With this arrangement, employers fund reimbursement accounts for their employees to use on qualified medical expenses before they meet their annual deductible. The HRA offers several unique advantages to both employers and employees. Contributions made to employee accounts are tax-deductible for the employer, and distributions for qualified medical expenses are tax-free for the employee.

Employers are free to choose their own HRA fund administrator or select American Community’s partner, HealthEquity, a leader in health reimbursement and health savings account administration.

APEP Choices policyholders with an HRA through HealthEquity also receive access to a powerful set of wellness and healthcare management tools that provide innovative, web-based and telephone decision-support services to help them make informed treatment decisions. These tools are available at no extra premium. "These days, most businesses face a common challenge – satisfying employee healthcare needs while balancing the company budget. Our APEP Choices product offers flexible solutions to that challenge," said Neal Spero, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. "It is yet another example of our commitment to design quality, affordable health insurance products to meet the needs of our customers."
