Fast-Growing Staffing Firm Reduces Payroll/Billing Entry by 50 Percent

Priority Business Services, with 10 offices, expects to double growth with StaffSuite.

(PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- As one of the fastest growing staffing firms in the Los Angeles, California area, Priority Business Services has experienced tremendous success since its inception in 1989. With headquarters based in Aliso Viejo, Priority has grown to 10 offices and provides clerical, industrial, maintenance, accounting and finance staffing as well as payroll and HR services and risk management.

Priority's growth goals include expanding in Arizona and Nevada while continuing to become southern California's premier staffing company. To facilitate this growth, a major operational goal is to expand their recruiting team while growing the company in a competitive market with a tight talent pool. To do this, Priority needed a new staffing software solution.

We are more efficient in how we document and process injury-related incidents with temporary employees because all information is centrally located in StaffSuite. We have reduced the time it takes to process an injury from a day to an hour which is extremely important when you are dealing with the strict worker's compensation laws in California
Previously, Priority was using a system built for a smaller staffing organization that was inhibiting their productivity, growth and efficiency of service delivery. They needed a fully integrated front-to-back staffing software that has the scalability and functionality to grow with their business as it moves to the next level.

In 2006, Priority Business Services selected StaffSuite, VCG's proven staffing software solution that has been independently certified to scale for 1,000 simultaneous users. John Porrello, CEO of Priority Business Services states that the integrated front and back office functionality was a key decision in selecting StaffSuite. As a growing company, they needed to be able to manage their increasing payroll/billing volumes more effectively.

And how has StaffSuite's back office efficiency helped support Priority's growth?

"StaffSuite's staffing-specific back office functionality has enabled us to save $60,000 a year already in salary expense," states Porrello. "Turbo time, StaffSuite's high-performance time-card data entry functionality, alone has eliminated the need for additional back office staff."

Porrello adds, "We expect to gain efficiencies with StaffSuite that will enable us to double our growth without having to hire a new back office employee. It used to take eight hours to enter in a 350-400 person payroll for one client. That time has been reduced by 50 percent."

Those kind of back-office operational cost savings go right to the staffing firms' bottom line. Yet another key benefit StaffSuite provides Priority is the ability to better manage their candidates and employees.

"We are more efficient in how we document and process injury-related incidents with temporary employees because all information is centrally located in StaffSuite. We have reduced the time it takes to process an injury from a day to an hour which is extremely important when you are dealing with the strict worker's compensation laws in California," said Porrello.

Porrello was particularly impressed with StaffSuite's document management system (DMS), which reduces the amount of time-consuming paperwork that needs to be done by his staff, increasing productivity and, therefore profitability. All documents related to a worker's compensation case can be quickly accessed for review.

StaffSuite has helped Priority Business Services to reduce their back office staff, reduce payroll and billing time by 50 percent and continue on their goal to double their growth.

In addition, Porrello also points out the critical importance of their staff.

"The greatest difference between Priority Business Services and our competitors is our internal staff, said Porrello. "We simply have the best staffing professionals in the industry. If you look at our HR department, our Safety & Risk Department or the recruiters in our 10 branch offices, you'll find we have dedicated, loyal and knowledgeable professionals."

Porrello adds, "Our company's philosophy is that people/clients buy from people, they do not buy from companies. We are in the people business first, everything else is second."

This is evident in Priority's reputation within the Los Angeles community. Priority Business Services was ranked #4 by the Los Angeles Business Journal for Top Staffing Firms, #11 by the Orange County Business Journal for Top Staffing Firms and #53 by the Orange County Business Journal as one of Orange County's Fastest-Growing Private Companies.
