International Playthings Inc. As the nation's oldest nonprofit children's media program, the Parent's Choice Award Program helps parents and caregivers make informed decisions about what new products are right for their children.

Parsippany, NJ (PRWEB) November 15, 2007 -- International Playthings Inc. (IPI) announces two of its iPlay products, the Lift Off Rocket and Diggity Dog board game, have received 2007 Parents' Choice Awards, which are reserved for products that stimulate children's interests, while fostering social, intellectual, and emotional growth. As the nation's oldest nonprofit children's media program, the Parent's Choice Award Program helps parents and caregivers make informed decisions about what new products are right for their children.

"It is an honor to have two iPlay products recognized by the Parents' Choice Foundation's esteemed panel," said Susan Tice, Senior Product Manager and Public Relations Director for International Playthings, Inc. "The iPlay line is comprised of a broad range of products that foster children's imaginations and strive to connect parents and children through play. The Lift Off Rocket and Diggity Dog board game are excellent examples of this objective."

The iPlay Lift Off Rocket, for ages 18 months and older, features lights, sounds and three separate areas of play - cockpit, living quarters and cargo area. Kids can press the button to hear the lift off sequence, realistic rocket sounds and see the boosters light up. The complete Lift Off Rocket playset includes two astronauts, a space dog, alien, dune buggy and moon crater. The play set is available through specialty retailers nationwide at a MSRP of $40.00.

Diggity Dog is a memory board game for children aged three and up. The game is for two to four players and features an electronic barking dog that barks the number of spaces that players must move their puppies. When a player's puppy lands on a space beside a dog bone, the player picks up the bone with the dog's magnetic nose. If the color of the underside of the bone matches the player's puppy, the player gets to move the bone into their puppy's dog house. The Diggity Dog board game is available through specialty retailers at a MSRP of $20.00.

Established almost 30 years ago, the Parents' Choice Foundation's panel is comprised of educators, scientists, parents, librarians, and even children. The rigorous multi-tiered evaluation process only recognized approximately 20 percent of the submitted items and honors material and products that respect a child's age, interests, and abilities, and adheres to universal human values.

iPlay's Lift Off Rocket and Diggity Dog board game are two of four products distributed by IPI to earn top honors from the Parents' Choice Award program this year. Also included are Vikingtoys' Extra Large Super Recycling Truck and Quercetti's Filo Lacing Set.
