NJ's RING of FIRE Band pay tribute to Johnny Cash with a benefit concert on Saturday 12/15/07 at Starland Ballroom, Sayreville, NJ.

Sayreville, NJ (PRWEB) December 5, 2007 -- On Saturday, December 15th, The NJ based Johnny Cash Tribute show "Michael Patrick's RING of FIRE Band" will present a very special "all-ages / seated show" at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.

Just off a recent tour to Mississippi performing with Marty Stuart and Joanne Cash, Michael Patrick's Ring of Fire band helped make history on Nov 3, 2007 where they where part of the ceremony to help Pardon Johnny Cash for his Crime in 1965 of pickin flowers (and ok.. Public Drunkeness) in Starkville, MS. It was a festival about redemption which spoke volumes about the kind of man Johnny Cash was and his contributions to the world.

Johnny Cash's Boys and Girls Club: Teaching Youth to Walk the Line.
The Band was thrilled to be called up onstage by the one and only Marty Stuart to Join in on the finale song (Amazing Grace) where they also shared the stage with Joanne and Kathy Cash.

It was at this performance where Michael met members of Johnny's family and received the greatest compliment of all from Johnny's own daughtor "Kathy Cash". She said she heard the band from her hotel window closed her eyes and could hear Dad!

Michael Patrick's "Ring of Fire" band stems from central NJ and is an offspring of the successful country-rock group entitled "The Suburban Hillbillies." While the original band continues to tour locally, it's members have put together this special project 2 years ago.. A tribute show to honor and pay homage to one of their musical icons - Mr Johnny Cash!

Michael Patrick and his legendary band of "Suburban Hillbillies" have made a commitment to the revival of country, folk and roots music in their homeland of New Jersey. Obviously not a hotbed or breeding ground for the Next Nashville Star, Michael and his bandmates (including members: Dan Markovitch - Lead Gtr/Vocals, Mike Rosenow - Bass, and Drummer - Mike Bisozio) have made incredible strides and carved out a comfortable niche along with a handful of other local performers in fulfilling a desire for something different, gritty, raw and real in New Jersey.

The band is now taking its show beyond the regional area and receiving national attention.

Partial proceeds from this concert will benefit the "Johnny Cash Flower Pickin' Foundation."

Aimed at continuing Johnny Cash's legacy of charity and helping those who need help. The foundation will build Boys and Girls Clubs throughout the country, called "Johnny Cash's Boys and Girls Club: Teaching Youth to Walk the Line."

Doors open at 6:30 with the following special guests: Victory Gin, Wandering Bards, Ten Foot Tall and The Saturday Knights.

Advance discount tickets are $18 & more info is available at: www.ringoffireband.com
