iPhone "Killers" Verizon Voyager and Sprint HTC Touch Create A Viable And Green Accessories Market

iPhone Competitors Verizon Voyager and Sprint HTC Touch create a robust screen-touch accessories market for the 2007 holiday season and new year.

Hernodon, VA (PRWEB) December 7, 2007 -- Gomadic Corporation (http://www.gomadic.com) announced today the release of their full suite of accessories to support Apple's newest competitors in the multi-media smartphone market. With car chargers, wall chargers, and even portable AA battery chargers already in place to support the Verizon Voyager and Sprint HTC Touch, Gomadic is ready to meet the demand that this new trend in screen-touch technology has created.

"We were among the first to support the iPhone with less expensive and more flexible charging solutions and we're happy to be among the first to support these new technologies as well," says Gomadic president Don Cayelli. "Both smartphones offer a viable alternative to the iPhone-especially for folks who don't want to commit to AT&T, which is what the free market is all about."

This means less energy expended making new chargers and wires and less energy used to dispose of them. So besides reduced cost and more convenience, going Gomadic means reducing the carbon imprint that all of these disposable devices create, making it a win-win for everyone.
Known for their TipExchange technology that allows users a unique flexibility, Gomadic was recently featured in INC.com as one of the forerunners in the emerging iPhone economy (http://www.inc.com/articles/2007/06/iphone.html) and remain dedicated to trailblazing the industry. Reasonably priced at only 4.95 a tip, TipExchange allows users to simply remove and replace the tip of their charging solution with each new device or upgrade.

"The beauty of the Gomadic solution is that it's recyclable," Cayelli says. "So it's set up to handle the ever increasing demands of the disposable technology market--the Voyager and HTC touch included. In other words, by simply removing the tips, you'll never have to pay over 30 dollars for a new charging cable again."

Known as the "iPhone killer" throughout the mainstream media and blogosphere, the Voyager and its non-Apple counterpart the HTC Touch offer a wide variety of options that will purportedly mean steep competition for the iPhone--which also means big opportunities for the mobile accessory makers who support these devices.

However, with all of these new--and disposable--technologies flooding the market, environmentalists are worried about it's effect on the climate crisis. Gomadic, however, boasts a more recyclable and thus greener solution to other accessory providers.

"Instead of buying a new charger for each new device in a household, our tip exchange concept basically allows users to keep the same charging cable for all their devices by simply recycling the small, lightweight tips," says Cayelli. "This means less energy expended making new chargers and wires and less energy used to dispose of them. So besides reduced cost and more convenience, going Gomadic means reducing the carbon imprint that all of these disposable devices create, making it a win-win for everyone."
