Torque.TV, the digital television network for motorheads, announces the launch of its interactive, on-air casting session for the 2008 Torque.TV spokesmodel.

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 11, 2007 -- Torque.TV, the digital television network for motorheads, announces the launch of its interactive, on-air casting session for the 2008 Torque.TV spokesmodel.

Twenty-four candidates will battle it out head-to-head, and cheek-to-cheek in hope of becoming "Miss Torque.TV". Two new auditions air each week.

said Gregory Stacy, VP of programming.
Viewers can vote once a day, with a finalist emerging through the NCAA style bracketing system over the course of 6 rounds spread across 20 weeks. The percentage of votes for each candidate will instantly appear on screen as viewers vote.

"Hundreds of potential spokesmodels submitted photographs and Web links. We then narrowed it down to the top 100 and invited them to drop by for an audition. It was a sea of endless beauty at our studios,"" said Gregory Stacy, VP of programming. "The top 24 candidates that we found qualified and interesting are the final girls our viewers get to vote on. All of these videotaped auditions are entertaining, but some are also hilarious!"

Auditions consisted of the talent reading to camera, a Q&A, a photo modeling session, and an interview. Each candidate also has a separate profile page with a bio, Web links, and a photo spread on Torque.TV's Web site.

"Viewers have their work cut out for them. Each week they'll have to choose between two good auditions," said Jesse Raiford, CEO. "We're happy to have them help us with casting decisions. Plus, whether they move forward or not, the candidates get terrific on air exposure and real, live feedback."

The interactive voting component was designed by noformat.com. "Whether it is the ability to click on video commercials and go to sponsor Web sites, or to have sweepstakes tied directly to video content, we wanted the Torque.TV digital network to offer practical interactivity," said Creative Director Ian Brewer. "The Miss Torque.TV voting matrix allows viewers to have a say in what they will be watching in the future."

Miss Torque.TV 2008 premieres December 10, 2007 on Torque.TV
