Brighter Minds Media, based in Worthington, OH, is making an effort to ensure that every child has a good holiday season this year. Brighter Minds Media has donated over 200 toys, software and books, to the NBC 4 Toys for Tots toy drive this year. Total estimated retail value of this donation is over $2,500.
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) December 27, 2007 -- Brighter Minds Media, based in Worthington, OH, has donated over 200 toys, software and books, to the NBC 4 Toys for Tots toy drive this year, in an effort to brighten the holidays for central Ohio children this year. Total estimated retail value of this donation is over $2,500.
"Toys for Tots is a really worthy cause and we take children's happiness very seriously; so when we get to help a local child, who might normally not have anything, open a present on Christmas morning, it makes what we do that much more fulfilling," said Brighter Minds Media's CEO Sam Ifergan. "We are a local company and really take pride in giving back to the community."
"We were thrilled to hear a local company wanted to donate so much," said Leslie Zuk, Director of Community Outreach for NBC 4. "Any time a company decides to give a large donation, we appreciate it. We couldn't be happier."
Brighter Minds Media chose 45 products to donate, including the books Care Bears Lullaby and Marvel Heroes Puzzle Peril and the DVD board games Jurassic Park Explorer and Nancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor Manor. Brighter Minds has also donated a variety of learning friendly software and books (a specialty of the company) like the game Caillou: Magic Playhouse, based on the popular PBS KIDS® television show.
The games, books, and software were donated to local families in the Ohio area by NBC4. "The donation will definitely mean more to the families receiving them than they ever will to us," said Zuk. "The donation will make many people happy during the holiday season." On Saturday, December 15th, NBC 4 took donations in front of their Olentangy Rd. studios from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Brighter Minds Media also made a large donation of 1500 gift bags and 100 software games to Franklin County Children Services, on Monday, December 17th. The donation has an estimated retail value of over $25,000.
