Advanced Detection Technology LLC Capitalizes on $250M Security Market Opportunity in Middle East

Company to exhibit innovative security and access control solutions at Intersec Middle East Expo in Dubai on January 13-15.

Maiden, NC (PRWEB) December 7, 2007 -- Advanced Detection Technology LLC (www.detecttech.com), the global leader in security and detection solutions like the FastGate™ access control system, today announced that it will join than 700 exhibitors from over 50 countries at Intersec Middle East -- a conference and exhibition that involves participation from a large number of nations including Austria, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Korea, China, Singapore, Scandinavia, Taiwan, USA and Hong Kong as well as more than 130 companies from the Middle East.

In November 2007, IDC said that security spending in the Middle East is set to grow by 37.4 percent this year to create a market worth $250 million, and that it will continue to grow at an average rate of 23 percent each year through 2011 (www.itp.net/news/504125-security-spending-tops-250-million-says-idc). Underscoring the relevance of Advanced Detection Technology's solutions to the Middle East, IDC reported that security expenditures were focused on perimeter defense, with threat management solutions making up 56.4 percent of 2006 total spend, marking a growth of 61.2 percent year-on-year.

"These statistics prove that the ability to detect and manage security threats is vital to the Middle East," affirmed Dale Hiatt, President of Advanced Detection Technology. "Demand for our security and access control systems -- particularly our automated FastPlate™ License Plate Recognition (LPR) and FastGate™ Access Control Solution -- is intense. We are honored to collaborate with Mahindra Intertrade (www.mahindraintertrade.com) -- our local sales, service and integration partner, located in Sharjah -- in responding to this demand."

With keynote sessions such as "Policing in Conflict Zones" and "How to Get People to Work Safely," Intersec Middle East will attract thousands of Middle Eastern businesspeople, military staff, and government personnel.

"Advanced Detection Technology's solutions meet or exceed the rigorous security requirements in the Middle East," stated Sankara Narayanan, Head of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Security Products at Mahindra Intertrade. "Their solution portfolio offers both the breadth and depth to address any customer need, no matter how complex. We are delighted to offer such innovative, high-performance products to our clients."

Advanced Detection Technology and Mahindra Intertrade will demonstrate several access control, surveillance, and LPR products during the Intersec Middle East exhibition. Visit them at booth numbers 3729C-3730C on 13-15 January 2008 in the Za'abeel Hall and Halls 1-5 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
