The Flash Gaming Network was created to give more recognition to the flash game authors themselves. Made by Shawn Tanner, a flash game producer, The Flash Gaming Network (FGN) treats all flash games as genuine productions- warranting discussion, fair ratings, and comparative reviews. Shawn, who goes under the alias of 'Afro Ninja', has been making flash games since 2002 and realizes first-hand the effort that goes into creating them.
Flash games have come a long way since the early 2000's. Many flash games found today have quality and depth to them that is comparable to full length classic console games of past decades. Just because they can't compete with the newest systems on the market doesn't mean they don't deserve the same appreciation given to games of years ago.
