Lumtron Technologies today announced the highly-anticipated release of its Workbench v2.0 module, which enhances document management functionality by giving the user the ability to combine multiple documents from disparate formats into one document "packet", add, remove and/or rearrange pages, and then indexed and archived in a document database. Documents can be converted into multiple formats and emailed or faxed directly from a Workbench session without having to ext the DMS. Also gives users the ability to scan directly into the document database from their desk - no need to send document to a centralized scanning station.
Woodstock, IL (PRWeb) February 3, 2007 -- Lumtron Technologies, a premier provider of document management solutions, today announced the highly-anticipated release of its Workbench v2.0 module, which enhances document management functionality for users of the AccuraImage™ document management system (DMS).
The Workbench module allows users to combine documents from multiple sources and disparate formats into a single "packet" that can then be indexed and archived into the AccuraImage™ DMS in multiple document formats, including TIFF and PDF. While working with the document(s) inside Workbench, users can add, remove, or rearrange pages from a document, import additional files from a local hard drive, the Internet, or anywhere on the network, as well as previously-stored documents from within their existing AccuraImage™ document repository. Workbench v2.0 enhances existing functionality by allowing the exchange of individual pages or entire documents between open Workbench sessions, and by providing an alternative entry point into AccuraImage™ -- allowing users to "pull" documents and files into the DMS, as opposed to "pushing" them out of the source application(s) -- or to scan paper documents right at their desktops, as opposed to sending the documents to a centralized scanning station. Workbench v2.0 also now allows users to fax or email directly from a Workbench session, choosing specific pages to send and/or converting the documents to other format(s) prior to sending.
"We are pleased to be able to provide this enhanced functionality to our users," explains Dan DeSerto, President of Lumtron Technologies. "Workbench 2.0 will prove to be a tremendous time-saver for organizations that need to manipulate or assemble documents -- especially from source documents in multiple different formats."
"This product is absolutely amazing -- we are really impressed," raves Elizabeth Leenig, I.T. Manager at Emery & Webb, Inc. -- an AccuraImage™ client who has loaded the new release. "When we send a submission to one of our carriers for underwriting," she continues, "We may need to combine applications created inside our agency management system with loss runs downloaded from a carrier's web site, financial statements and emails received from the client, memos created internally by our staff, photos exported from a digital camera, and other documents that were stored elsewhere on the network. One submission may need to go to 3 or 4 different carriers, each with forms unique to just that one carrier. And we do this all day, every day." Leenig concludes, "The new Workbench release gives us the flexibility to assemble submissions the way we want them, and streamlines the whole process tremendously. A process that used to be so complicated will now take only minutes. We are going to be so much more productive."
