Sacramento, CA (PRWeb) February 3, 2007 -- When the Thomas family learned that they were having a third child, the close quarters of their 2 bedroom duplex became an even greater issue. Not only were quarters cramped, but they remained so on a continuous basis. Because of neighborhood conditions, the couple didn't feel comfortable allowing the children to play outdoors alone and with a new baby on the way, dedicated parent time would soon be limited. The growing family desperately needed a change in living arrangements, and thanks to the Foothills Habitat for Humanity and Halls Window Center, this bunch will soon have a bright new place to call home.

In total, Halls will donate 10 Renewal by Andersen windows and 1 sliding glass door.

Families must show a high level of commitment, both in their ability to repay the low interest loan offered through Habitat for Humanity and in sweat equity, dedicating at least 500 hours toward building their own home.
One of the many ways that Habitat reduces the cost of homes for families is by utilizing community volunteers directed by professionals to build the home. An installation specialist from Halls Window Center will be on-site during the window installation portion of the project to lead volunteers in the proper installation of the donated windows.

The Thomas family is looking forward to baby number 3, who is expected to arrive in just a few days. The family and volunteers will continue to work one day per week on construction until completion of the home sometime this summer.
