Los Angeles, CA (PRWeb) February 3, 2007 -- Children's lifestyle expert and author Lisa Dunn-Dern will be interviewed by host Patrick Evans on 'Eye on the Desert' arts and entertainment segment on CBS2 TV News, Palm Springs, Calif., Wednesday, February 7, at 6:00 p.m. PST.
Dunn-Dern recently began producing and hosting a series of entertaining educational spots for ETV Ethiopian Television that run in conjunction with ETV's scheduled weekend children's programming. All the images shown on Ethiopian television are controlled by the government, and Dunn-Dern's hosting the children's programming spots received unanimous approval. 'This project has my full support. Lisa has the magic ability to bridge the gap between herself and her audience, America and Africa,' said Ambassador Taye A. Selassie, Consul General of Ethiopia, in Los Angeles.
A former staff writer for the HBO/Fox TV series 'Roc,' she also directed large-scale children's theater productions in Los Angeles, and has been honored for her commitment to children's literacy and education. She is the author of a series of children's books whose illustrations feature an interracial family. The second book in the series, 'Dr. Duncan Dog on Duty,' will be published in April. Together with her teenage daughter, Dunn-Dern co-hosts the live, monthly 'Chelsea and Lisa Show' over GlobalTalkRadio.com. The next program, on getting children involved in philanthropy, airs Tuesday, February 20, at 4 pm PST.
